Ben was born in Blackpool on 1st April 1987.
He was my first born child and the son i always wanted. His sisters megan and ruby were born in 1994 and 1998, they worshipped their big brother.
ben and i were very close and shared a great bond.
ben had started a relationship witha girl aged 16 who he knew from schhool, she had previously been going out with Nathan Butters but ended the relationship in favour of ben
nathan aged 18, his uncle darren butters aged 27 and their friend richard gregory 35 attacked Ben in our home at 8pm one summer night, they had followed him home and burst in as he was entering the security of our lovely house, he was attacked in front of my mum and 2 children and stabbed 3 times, the 3rd stab wound pierced his heart and he died on route to hospital.
a life ended by someone who could not take rejection.
nathan who moved to Blackpool from worcestershire was jailed for life, he was sentenced in feb 2004 on his 18th birthday, the other 2 were released last year after just 18 months in prison, what a farce the justice system is.
darren butters who by now will be 30, has moved back to worcestershire, i dont think he dare come back to blackpool.
richard gregory is living in a bail hostel in the north of england.
they have ruined my life and i will never forgive them.
we have had to sell our lovely home and i have left my job as a midwife...the pain never goes.

Hey Benny boy, we just wanted to add a little note so u know we will never stop thinking of you. Still cannot believe you are no longer here to play footy with jack and call me kelloggs when we past each other in school.....you little charmer hehe, i still laugh about it now.
We visit our nanas head stone alot at carlton and always take flowers across to you....hope u like them. I cant believe the pictures which kirsty put on your headstone of us all,haha i looked shocking, i bet u were looking down laughing at me haha. That was my 16th birthday, im glad there are pictures on here of yours, although you should not be on here because you should still be here with us all now. Your in a place now where the fun never stops & everything is how it should be..... and as we all carry on 2 live in this world that disapoints us all day after day.
I just want to say thank you for being my shinning star, my angel & my special friend!! I know ur always here 2 listen 2 me & give me strength wen I need it most. i can't believe it has been 5yrs since were taken from us. There hasn't been a day gone by that u haven't been in my thoughts.
We all truly Miss u!
On Sunday my very close friend Gregg was taken away from us...in a similar situation as u were taken. I cannot believe what is goin on n how 2 of the nicest boys i have n will ever come across in my life r not here anymore.
I used to spk to Gregg about u n he helped me wen i was upset n down.
I miss u both very much.
Im sure u will b with him now watchin down on us.
